 Aerobic exercise which is performed 3-4 times per week at your target heart rate will provide the following benefits to you:

 

To the cardiovascular system:

’Ä¢ Increase in efficiency of the heart. The heart is a piece of muscle which becomes more effective when it is appropriately exercised. Consistent efforts at your exercise program can reduce your risk of a fatal heart attack by as much as half. Your effort can also improve your heart's response to demands made by your body.
